Merry Quiltmas! If you’re like me, you don’t get excited about winter holiday sewing until… now. Why can’t I have these feelings in July when there’s still time to make things on time?! Ugh! So I’ve just been ignoring the calendar and have been saving links to some of my favorite projects. Here are some of the top ones.
This is the Holly Jolly Tree Skirt from a bright corner. So funny story… Last year me threw away my old tree skirt thinking this year me would have plenty of time to make a new one. I forgot about this and was left scrambling for a tree skirt pattern. My requirements were quick and easy, and this pattern didn’t disappoint. I’m working on the binding now!
Next up is the 12 Days of Quilty Ornaments from Erica at Confessions of a Homeschooler. I don’t think these will make it to my tree this year, but they’re cute enough for me to want to work on them later.
This one is old but new to me. The Jelly Snowflake quilt along from the Fat Quarter Shop sure looked like it was a lot of fun. I’ve definitely saved this one for later too.
Looping back to a bright corner, I’m pretty excited about the Diamond Patchwork quilt. The link takes you to a free tutorial, and I’m sure it would look good in any season’s colors.
Did someone say FREE?! Allison from Cluck Cluck Sew did! Check out her free pattern for the No Points Star quilt.
Finally, I found Christmas Figs when I was cruising the Fat Quarter Shop’s Black Friday sale.
So is anything here striking your fancy? Is there anything you think I should check out? I’d love to see it!
