I’m finally in the quilting zone after a couple months of struggling with These Trying Times (patent pending), and I’m chugging along on my Miss Lizzy quilt. I’m really happy with my fabric choices, and I’m looking forward to how this is going to turn out. Today I’m sharing blocks 5-8. You can see blocks 1-4 in this post. Let’s go.

Block 5: Thistle

This block looks complicated, but it was easy to put together. It’s blocks like these that make me sad I’m only doing two of them.

Block 6: Honeysuckle

I didn’t fussy cut these fabrics, but it kind of looks like the white was just set over the pattern instead of being broken up. I like it when that happens!

Block 7: Daisy

This block makes me happy that I switched the color and background for this quilt. All that vibrant color in one block!

Block 8: Poppy

Blue and orange is one of my favorite color combinations, and these blocks are so amazing in them!

Well that’s all for now. I’m heading back into the studio to make up for lost time. I feel like home base is literally going to be home base for quite a while, so I’m happy that I’m settling into a creative groove. I hope you and your family are staying well… and sane.

I hope to share some more Miss Lizzy quilt blocks in another week or so!

Quilt on,

Joni
