What is the Star Rise block-of-the-month program?
Star Rise is my exclusive block-of-the-month pattern for 2025. You’ll get a block pattern every month and finishing instructions at the end of the year to piece all your blocks into a complete quilt top.
When do I get new patterns for the Star Rise BOM?
Planning documents are released on Dec. 1, 2024. These instructions help you choose a size and colorway and gather all your supplies. New block patterns are released on the first of the month, starting in January 2025 and continuing through October 2025. On the first of the month in November and December 2025, you’ll receive finishing instructions and quilting plans. If you join after Dec. 1, 2024, you’ll gain immediate access to all content released to date.
What else is included in the program?
Live monthly meetups: Let’s get together each month to share your wins and get a demo of that month’s block. I also answer your questions while we chat.
Inclusive community: Join like-minded quilters in a community where you can share your success, learn tips and tricks, and make new friends.
Commemorative pin: Register by Dec. 1 to get your commemorative pin for FREE. As an early bird, you’ll help decide the final design and style. You’ll also receive a pattern for making a pin pennant for your collection. (Pins are available for purchase if you register after Dec. 1, 2024. Pricing is determined by the final design and style.)
Where do I access the patterns?
The Star Rise BOM is hosted on my website. Once you sign up, you’ll receive an automated message with your login information from the bots. You’ll also get a personalized welcome message from me telling you what to expect next. Inside the portal, you’ll find all your patterns, tutorials, and replays from our monthly live sewing sessions.
I’m a beginner quilter. Can I do this program?
Of course! Star Rise doesn’t use advanced piecing techniques, but I ensure you have access to relevant tutorials as new skills are introduced. You're in the right place if you can sew a reasonably consistent quarter-inch seam.
I’d also like to make friends this year. Is there a community?
Yep! Your welcome message from me includes the link and directions for joining our community. Here, you can get tips and help from your fellow quilters and share your wins. Quilters are the best people, and I’m so glad I can provide a place to work through this project together.
How will I be billed for the program?
If you choose 12 monthly payments when you join by Jan. 1, 2025, you will be charged for the first month immediately and then every 30 days for the next 11 months. If you register early, you’ll only be charged 12 times, even if there’s still time left in the program next year. You’ll be charged the one-time fee and nothing else if you choose a single payment. The option for 12 monthly payments is $9 per month, which goes away once the first block is released. I wanted to make monthly pricing as fair as possible so that someone joining late isn’t getting content for free that others have paid for. The one-time fee is $97 through Dec. 31 and goes up to $127 afterward.
